The Dolan Twins: An Overview

Popularly known as the Dolan Twins, these twin brothers have the original names, Grayson and Ethan Dolan. They were both born on the 16th of December 1999, and the two are an American duo of content creators through post comedy on Vines and various videos on YouTube. With more than 10 million subscribers on their YouTube channel, they’re still trending and going viral each day. 

Besides their good looks and charm, the two continue to attract a large following simply because of the hilarious posts they make about their lives. These come in the adventurous form of skits, pranks, and various challenges that the public continues to love and enjoy. However, on the more serious side of things, you can find meaningful content that they upload now and then in the area of philosophy. It’s also said that the twins are musicians. 

Career Facts

Initially, the Dolan Twins started their journey as a comedy duo that enjoyed sharing their content on the popular social platform, Vine, and this was before they went into the YouTube space. In 2016, the brothers started their world trip journey called the ‘40 U’ tour. But it was only in 2017 that viewers got the chance to really get to know the twins after releasing a personal video on who they are. 

The Dolan Twins’ career journey has been one of rollercoasters and successes one way or the other. At some point in their career journey, they were involved in a Twitter ad that was advertising a new feature they’d done on stickers. It wasn’t long after that when they released a Bye For Now video that let the public in on their decision to take a break from the YouTube space so they could both evaluate their lives. 

The goodbye video was uploaded in March 2018, however, in May of that very same year, the twins later collaborated with other fellow YouTubers to form The Sister Squad with James Charles and Chamberlain. In the same year, they got a deal with MTV’s Total Request Live working as correspondents. There’s also a music video they were asked to direct for Cub Sport which is an Australian alternate pop group. 

2019 was a rather emotional year for the two, however, after experiencing the passing of their beloved father, Sean Dolan. According to their video It’s Time To Move On, the brothers shared details of how their father had lost his life to cancer, and they went on to discuss their personal experiences of what loss and grief were like for them while featuring Shane Dawson. 

Fun Facts

The Dolan Twins were born in Washington Township Morris County in New Jersey. At the time, their parents, Sean Dolan and Lisa Dolan were married. They do have an older sister, Cameron Dolan, however, the Dolan Twins brand is mainly made up of the brothers alone. 

The twins spent most of their lives in New Jersey even as far as completing high school there which they’d graduated in 2017. However, they have since relocated and are now residing in Los Angeles, California. 

As of 2022, the Dolan Twins are said to have a net worth of $6 million. According to research, they earn over $1 million annually and this is spread over social media, sponsored posts, paid promotions, and affiliate marketing on their merchandise.
